James Wayne Lukzen

James Wayne Lukzen, 76, of Honokaa died June 1 at home. Born in Honokaa, he was a retired field supervisor for the former Hamakua Sugar Co. and a U.S. Army Vietnam War and Hawaii Army National Guard veteran, coach for various softball, baseball and basketball teams and member of the Hawaiian Civic Club and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday (June 15) at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Honokaa Catholic Cemetery. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Gloria Lukzen; son, James Kealii Lukzen; brother, Mark (Dale) Lukzen; brother-in-law, Rudy Macanas; sisters-in-law, Amy Lukzen and Deanna Lukzen; a granddaughter; nieces, nephews and cousins. Lynette Noelani Auna

Lynette Noelani Auna, 63, of Keaukaha died May 29. Born in Hilo, she was a probation officer, teacher, business owner, counselor and political aide, Hilo High School Class of 1979 alumna, graduate of Hawaii Community College and Pathway Connect and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Keaukaha Ward. Visitation 8-10:30 a.m. Friday (June 14) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Hilo Stake Center, 1373 Kilauea Ave.. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial tp at the Homelani Memorial Park. Ricardo “Ricky” Anacito Javar Sr.

Ricardo “Ricky” Anacito Javar Sr., 68, of Naalehu died May 7 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Pahala, he was a former cane haul driver for the former Ka‘u Sugar Co. Celebration of life noon Saturday, July 20, at Naalehu Community Center, 95-5635 Hawaii Belt Road. Survived by wife, Janice Javar of Naalehu; sons, Ricardo “Ricky-Boy” (Grace) Javar Jr, of Naalehu and Jamie (Chrisy) Javar of Ocean View; daughters, Joanna (Brian Burgos) Javar and Megan Javar of Naalehu; mothers, Betty (Willard) Sanford of Tennessee and Carol Javar of Pahala; four sisters and four brothers; seven grandsons and a great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews and cousins. Corazon “Connie” Pascua

Corazon “Connie” Pascua, 86, of Hilo died April 30 at Legacy Hilo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Kealakekua, she was a bartender and worked at numerous establishments including Hilo Hotel, Henri’s on Kapiolani, Green Door, Ken’s Pancake House and Hale Inu, an avid bowler and bowled in the Tuesday night and Wednesday morning leagues at Hilo Lanes. Visitation 5:30-6 p.m. Friday, June 21, at Ballard Family Mortuary. Memorial service at 6 p.m. Casual attire. Wayne M.K. Moku, 73, of Hilo died April 30 at St. Francis Hospice in Honolulu. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired assistant superintendent of construction and maintenance for the former Hawaii Electric Light Co., member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and HELCO Golf Club, and U.S. Army veteran. Priscilla Kehaulani Matsuoka

Priscilla Kehaulani Matsuoka, 78, of Waimea died May 4 at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Hana, Maui, she was a homemaker. Services in Hana at a later date.
